Manchester United were hoping Casemiro to play against Liverpool on Monday, but they have been told that they missed the registration deadline and it will not be possible for the midfielder to be part of that game, but he will line up for next week’s game against Southampton.
Casemiro’s personal contract, which was completed last night, will be four years and his salary will be £350,000 per week, and now he is only waiting to get a visa to enter Britain to join the his new teammates and undergo a medical test at Carrington.
Casemiro played for Real Madrid for eight years and won 18 major trophies, including five Champions Leagues, and scored 31 goals in 336 games.
Erik ten Hag’s initial target was Frenkie de Jong but he turned to Casemiro when the Dutchman insisted that he will not go to Old Trafford as they are out of the Champions League this season.
