Andros Townsend mocked Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo after scoring Everton’s equalizer in a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo had only just been introduced when the Toffees launched a stunning counter-attack, which Townsend calmly completed.
As the 36-year-old watched on, the free transfer summer newcomer raced towards the corner flag where the travelling away supporters were stationed and cruelly mimicked Ronaldo’s famous ‘sui’ celebration.
Townsend now has five goals in all competitions this season, proving those who questioned his deal to Everton incorrect.
Townsend has been dubbed a “king among men” by fans for his cheeky celebration.
Another complimented Townsend for waiting for the proper chance to present itself before deciding on his next club in the summer.
“Just think, four months ago, Andros Townsend was spending his weekend on TalkSPORT; now he’s scoring goals for Everton and playing under Rafa Benitez at Old Trafford.”
