Jadon Sancho is set to undergo a medical today at Manchester United ahead of his 73million pound move from Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho has already agreed personal terms with the Old Trafford club. The former Manchester City star is expected to go on holiday when he completes his move to the Red Devils with the new Premier League season set to begin in less than a month.
The 21-year-old was one of three players to miss a penalty in England’s Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy alongside team-mate Marcus Rashford and Gunners star Bukayo Saka.
All three players received racist messages on social media after the match.
Dortmund’s asking price for the player at the start of the summer was more than 85 million.
Sancho’s contract with Dortmund expires in 2023, so they do not want him to enter the final year of his contract, which is why they are selling him now.
The Bundesliga club are looking for a replacement and are closely monitoring PSV’s Donyell Malen and Noni Madueke.
The winger graduated from Watford’s academy before joining City in 2015 but moved to Dortmund in 2017 after refusing to sign a new contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Sancho has become a key figure for Borussia Dortmund, scoring 50 goals in 137 appearances for the German club.
