One way Barcelona can sign Neymar is to use the same approach that PSG signed Kylian Mbappe two years ago.
It means that Neymar will be loaned to Barcelona for one season and then be forced to buy next summer. And French newspaper L’Equipe says that this would seem possible as time goes on.
Such a deal is known as the “Mbappe method” because PSG brought the Frenchman on loan before buying him permanently from Monaco to avoid breaking the Financial Fair Play rules.
Neymar and his agents are happy to see the deal completed but Paris Saint-Germain are reluctant. They would prefer to get as much money as they can to bring in a replacement for Neymar.
Money is what separates the two clubs, Barcelona are unwilling to pay 300 million euros and they cannot afford that kind of money.
Other options are to offer Rakitic or Coutinho to PSG.
Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo believes he can persuade Neymar to stay for another season at PSG and fly to China for talks with him. So far, no official offer has been made for the Brazilian.
