MANCHESTER UNITED and Arsenal are ready to join the race for young goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao.
The 18-year-old is the latest to come out of Brazil and currently plays for Cruzeiro.
Serie A giants Inter Milan and Roma are both said to be interested in Brazao.
But according to TeamTalk, United and Arsenal are ready to battle for his signature as well.
In recent seasons both Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson and Alisson of Liverpool have proven to be successful Brazilian exports.
And Brazao is thought to be the next who could make his mark in the Premier League.
The reports claim Arsenal and United are both preparing £3million bids for the youngster.
The Gunners want a long-term successor to Petr Cech and backup to Bernd Leno.
Manchester United are looking towards the future with the David De Gea yet to commit to a new contract at Old Trafford.
Arsenal are also trying to complete a loan deal for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.
But the Catalan club want an agreement in place to make a permanent transfer in the summer.
Barcelona may choose to hold on to Suarez for the remainder of the campaign if no agreement can be struck.
United have been linked with a number of centre-backs.
Kostas Manolas, Toby Alderweireld and Matthijs de Ligt are said to be targets for the Red Devils.
But it is not known whether temporary manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be backed in the January transfer window.
United return to action on Sunday when they take on Tottenham in the Premier League (4.30pm).
Arsenal travel to West Ham on Saturday (12.30pm).
