Morocco forward Nordin Amrabat will miss the African Nations Cup

Nordin Amrabat has been pulled out from the Moroccan national team squad for the African Nations Cup finalsand was replaced by Omar El Kaddouri, according to the Morocco Football Federation.

The Watford player got injured in the second half of last week’s 4-1 defeat to Spurs and, after medical test he was pulled out from the squad and he will miss the tournament in Gabon, which will start next week.

Omar El Kaddouri was called out and the 26 year old has won 22 caps for Morocco, having played his first game with the national team in 2013.

Morocco will play their first game in the Nations Cup against the Democratic Republic of Congo in Group C in Oyem on Janaury 16. Before the tournament the will play their final friendly game with UAE on Sunday.
